The Rocket City Geospatial Conference is proud to announce that Mr. David DiBiase will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Rocket City Geospatial Conference, Nov. 16-17, in Huntsville. Mr. DiBiase is the Director of the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute of The Pennsylvania State University within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. He manages the department's Certificate Program in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Master of GIS (MGIS) degree program, both of which are offered online through Penn State's World Campus.
He is a URISA Board Member; a GIS Certification Institute Board Member and Principal Investigator (PI) on the Geospatial Technology Competency Model for the Dept. of Labor and Co-PI for the National Geospatial Technology Center at Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, TX.
Mr. DiBiase is the editor of "The Geographic Information Science and Technology Body of Knowledge (GIS&T BoK)," a community-developed inventory of the knowledge and skills that define the GIS&T field.
